Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a health-care profession that focuses on the spine and other joints of the body, the soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia), and their connection to the nervous system.

Dr. Robert Sanders has been an integral part of CAP Alternative Therapy since 2020, dedicating himself to mastering the advanced techniques developed by Mr. Chuck Pechin. Under Mr. Pechin’s mentorship, Dr. Sanders has refined his expertise in treating athlete injuries, seamlessly incorporating these innovative methods into his practice.

Dr. Sanders earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Miami University of Ohio in 2015. Originally planning to pursue medical school, his career took a pivotal turn after a transformative experience with alternative care. Following a high school weightlifting injury that initially required surgery, he recovered within just a few visits to a rehab chiropractor. This experience ignited his passion for chiropractic care and set the foundation for his future career.

He went on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, widely regarded as the premier institution for sports chiropractic education.

After graduation, Dr. Sanders practiced abroad in Singapore for a year, where he honed his skills and expanded his expertise by studying traditional Chinese medicine, including acupuncture and dry needling.

Returning to the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Sanders joined CAP Alternative Therapy and has been collaborating closely with Chuck Pechin ever since.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Sanders cherishes time with his family—his wife, Dr. Angelica (a chiropractor specializing in pregnancy care), their daughter, Zari (a frequent visitor to the clinic), and their maltipoo, Coco. Together, they enjoy hiking, beach outings, and discovering new activities. Dr. Sanders’ personal interests include golf, snowboarding, and surfing, reflecting his passion for an active lifestyle.
